~ The Love I Want ~

In the shadows we have walked, hand in hand
Through trials and tribulations, we did stand
Our love tested, but never did it wane
Even when the storms threatened to bring us pain

Through the darkest night, your light shone bright
Guiding me through the toughest fight
Your kindness and acceptance, a beacon of hope
In your arms, I find my home to cope

We’ve seen each other’s vulnerabilities
And still, we cherish each other endlessly
For in your eyes, I see pure love
A bond unbreakable, sent from above

Together we have weathered life’s storms
In each other’s arms, we have found warmth
For you and I, our love is true
A special bond that will forever renew

So in this life, I know one thing is clear
That our love will always persevere
For when we look at each other with unadulterated love
We know we were meant to be,
blessed from above.
